Dr. Donna Wilson, president of BrainSMART, Inc., is former chair of education at the University of Detroit Mercy where she developed innovative undergraduate and graduate courses and programs. An educational psychologist, she is author of books and articles on the brain and learning including two new books, BrainSMART™ Strategies for Boosting Test Scores and Courageous Learners: Unleashing the Brain Power of Students from At-Risk Situations, that she has coauthored with her partner Marcus Conyers. 

Dr. Wilson is educational consultant to many of the largest school systems in the U.S. including NYC, Orlando, Chicago, Los Angeles and has presented internationally including Canada, Europe, and the Middle East. Dr. Wilson is a co-developer of university courses at the doctoral and master’s degree level and is co-publisher of Learning Science. She specializes in long-term professional development, distance learning, and building healthy and vibrant learning communities.
