Educational Specialist with a Major in Brain-Based Teaching (BrainSMART Program) (36 Credits)
This distance education degree program is designed for teacher leaders, educators in all disciplines, district administrators, professional developers, and school personnel who have already earned their master's degree and want to move their professional skills to the next level without leaving their homes and schools. The program focuses on equipping participants with knowledge of how breakthroughs in brain research, student achievement, instructional leadership, and cognition can be translated into best practices in the classroom and on a schoolwide basis. A series of instructional leadership projects are designed to support skills in taking classroom best practices to a wider audience with a greater scope for enhancing school culture and climate.
