Research clearly shows that the key to improving student achievement is to increase the effectiveness of classroom instruction. Using examples from their NAESP best selling book BrainSMART®: 60 Strategies for Boosting Test Scores, Dr. Donna Wilson and Marcus Conyers walk the talk and model a framework of practical strategies that educators can apply right away to increase student learning. These workshops draw on the team’s national work with 100,000 educators and research from the graduate degree programs focusing on Brain-Based Teaching they co-developed with Nova Southeastern University. The BrainSMART approach grew out of a cutting edge cognitive graduate program with the University of Detroit and a three year initiative with the Florida Department of Education. It received a prestigious Annenberg Challenge Grant Award through Florida Atlantic University. These dynamic, research-based keynotes and workshops are exclusively presented by the program developers Dr. Donna Wilson and Marcus Conyers.
